Explore your new neighbourhood
Newport rests on the Welsh border with the river Usk passing through. With stunning views of the co-existing rural and urban aspects of the city, there are two different atmospheres to explore. Whether you like bars and restaurants, or walks and views, there’s plenty for you in Newport.
Public transport to Cardiff and Bristol run frequently if you’re ever looking for more variety in two different countries, and you can visit Wentwood Forest for an exploration into the environment. Either way, there’s lots of styles to enjoy Newport and its surrounding areas.

Hear what other students from the Village have to say
When I received my unconditional offer for my course, I searched for my accommodation. It was easy to book a room via the site of the Newport Student Village and there were flexible dates for check-in, which was comfortable for me as an international student. The student village is located in the city centre and close to University, supermarket, and shopping centre, which was helpful for me as it was my first time in Newport. It was a great experience for me to move to the Newport Student Village and I will definitely recommend it to international students because it is a way to meet other students and live safely.
