There’s no doubt that the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on students. Moving to online study proved challenging for some, but our residents made the most of their year, building friendships and supporting each-other. Here’s why our students loved staying on campus despite the pandemic, and how our Villages supported them through it.
"I met really good people in my apartment who helped me with going through the lockdown period. Moreover, the village was having a lot of giveaways and online events that were fun and entertaining. I felt safe living on campus and having the security on site. I stayed because I made friends here. I really loved the DIY tutorials, that are very interesting and engaging."
"There were small gatherings and I got to meet wonderful people living at the Village. I stayed connected with them by organising small trips once restrictions were lifted. The soup kitchens had brought many people closer and I really enjoyed this activity a lot."
Living on campus in a CLV village provides study spaces to can meet your peers and work together, events and activities to build a community and connection, ultra-fast WIFI to support your studies, and staff support to ensure safety and wellbeing as you transition into independent living at University.
