Welcome wristbands to help you stay safe
We’ve created a simple, yet effective wristband to ensure all our residents arrive home safely during their first few weeks with us.
If you've had a slightly bigger than expected night out or you just can't keep your postcode in mind whilst out exploring your new city, an alarming amount of new students find it difficult to remember where they live.
In particular, this happens late at night when a few too many drinks stop you from thinking clearly. Whilst we strongly discourage any resident from finding themself in this situation, we know that Freshers' Week excitement can get the better of some.
In a survey conducted last year, more than 75 per cent of taxi drivers said that they regularly have to deal with passengers who have drunk too much on a night out – with many even having trouble remembering where their new accommodation was located.
We will be arming all residents, across our 16 UK Villages, with free, brightly-coloured wristbands, containing vital contact information. This means that you will have an immediate reference on your wrist for where you are going back to after a night out.
And should you find you're locked out or need any help getting into your new home, the security number on every wristband means you're just a quick call away from the help you need.
Remember, if you find yourself in any situations you're unhappy with or feel like you need support once you've moved in with us, you can find helpful information and contact information on myvillageguide.co.uk under your village's Wellbeing section. Our Village Teams are always on hand to help you too, day or night.
