A Guide to Liverpool
From the people to the lingo, Liverpool is rich in culture and packed full of wonderful museums and artistic landmarks.
If you’re looking for some great places to visit, here’s a quick guide on some great things to see and do in the land of the Liver Birds!
All things Beatles
Being the home of the Fab Four, you're never too far from a Beatles attraction in Liverpool. If you're living with us at Albert Court, it's the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about the band.
Head to the award-winning Beatles Story on The Royal Albert Dock for a history lesson or take a Beatles bus tour and visit each member's childhood home, Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields.
Catch a gig at The Cavern Club, which regularly hosted The Beatles in their early years or get your photo taken with the iconic Beatles statues on Pier Head.
You're sure to learn a lot about the band in no time!
Liverpool One
Home to over 170 shops, bars and restaurants, Liverpool ONE, is the ultimate shopping experience. With all the high street stores you’ll ever need to get your shopping fix, you’re bound to find whatever it is you’re after.
Retailers in the shopping complex include the largest Lush store in the world, spanning over four floors, including a Lush Spa, and the recently opened The Vintage Store, which is the perfect place to visit if you want to pick up a preloved bargain.
Royal Albert Dock
Known as the vibrant heart of Liverpool’s historic waterfront, The Royal Albert Dock is an excellent place to stroll around.
There are lots of fun-filled activities at the Dock, and many of them are free to the public – even better! Have a walk around the Maritime Museum and learn about the city’s roles in the Titanic story or admire the works of applauded artists from around the globe with a trip to The Tate.
Concert Square
Concert Square is the central hub for bars and clubs in the city centre and has been at the heart of Liverpool’s nightlife for over 20 years.
The open roofed courtyard is surrounded by plenty of places to visit on a night out and is home to some of Liverpool’s best night-time venues. So, whether it’s a cocktail, pint, or a meal you’re after, there’s something for everyone at Concert Square.
Baltic Market
The Baltic Market is Liverpool's first street food market and is a great place to visit if you fancy a bite to eat. The market is home to over ten independent food stalls serving some of the best local food Liverpool offers.
The market stalls change every couple of months, so you can try a different cuisine each time you visit.
Wild Shore
Wild Shore is for you if you’re a water sports fan! Located on the Royal Albert Dock, it’s the perfect place for a thrill-seeking day out.
The Aqua Park is an inflatable obstacle course on the water in Dukes Dock. Made up of giant inflatable free-fall slides, trampolines, rafts and barriers, you’ll have a great time racing your friends around the course. Just try and avoid falling into the water!
Root Houseplants
Looking for a quirky houseplant to brighten up your room? Head over to Root Houseplants at Bluecoat. Featuring plants from around the world, you’re bound to find one you’re fond of.
If you need some friendly advice on looking after your new addition before you take it home, they’re more than happy to share their plant knowledge with you.
