Lunar New Year Celebration

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Bournemouth University ResLife in an exciting cultural experience.

The event will begin with a *traditional lion dance procession*, starts From Dorchester House visiting multiple halls across Lansdowne Campus, offering plenty of opportunities for photos and shared celebration. Fortune cookies will be distributed in all Halls to spread New Year wishes.

The celebration will then conclude at *Bailey Point*, where you can enjoy festive food tasting, music, festive decorations, and relaxed social time with fellow students.

This is a great opportunity to experience cultural traditions, meet new people, and celebrate the New Year together.

Event Activities

🦁 Lion Dance Procession

Enjoy a traditional lion dance performed by a professional team, travelling through 6 halls on Lansdowne Campus with stops for photos and interaction.

🥠 Fortune Cookies in Halls

Fortune cookies will be served during the procession to spread good luck and festive spirit.

🍜 Festive Food Tasting at Bailey Point

Sample a selection of Chinese-inspired foods while enjoying music and themed decorations.

🎶 Chill & Social Time

Relax, socialise, and take photos in a festive atmosphere at Bailey Point.



Important Infomation:

📍Procession around Lansdowne Campus → The Lion Dancing performance starts From Dorchester House at 4 pm as a moving performance across halls in Lansdowne campus and ends at Bailey Point at 5 pm.

📍Festive atmosphere and Festive Food Tasting at Bailey Point (social room/ ground floor) starts from 5 pm and finishes at 7 pm.
