Campus Living Villages commences construction on new student accommodation tower at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus

Campus Living Villages has now completed early works and the next major stage of construction has begun on a new contemporary student accommodation tower at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus. The development, in partnership with Griffith University, will provide 460 additional beds for students, enhanced amenities and additional sustainability initiatives.

Campus Living Villages, which has owned and operated the existing Griffith University Village since its construction in 2006, specialises in on-campus purpose-built student accommodation and related amenities such as retail, parking and solar panels.

Group Managing Director and CEO of Campus Living Villages, John Schroder, said, “We are delighted to extend our long-standing partnership with Griffith University to deliver much needed purpose-built student accommodation to the Gold Coast. This new tower will be a landmark building for Campus Living Villages, delivering a best-in-class healthy and sustainable building with a five-star Green Star rating and a WELL Gold certification, which supports community, health and wellbeing – core values of our respective organisations,” he said.

Planned for completion in the second half of 2026, Campus Living Villages has partnered with Built, a leading Australian-owned digital-first contractor, with a sizable presence in Queensland, to deliver the new tower.

“With early works now complete, Built is proud to be selected as the delivery partner for the next stage of construction,” said Christian Adamson, General Manager, Built.
