Acknowledgement of Country
The land we are on today has a rich history and is a place of culture, kinship and knowledge. We acknowledge Country and the Traditional Owners as Custodians of the land and waters throughout Australia. We recognise and acknowledge that the land we walk upon today has a dreaming that continues to connect people, country and culture and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Our head office is based on Wallumettagal or Wallumedegal Country at what is today known as North Ryde and our student villages operate from Country across present day NSW, VIC, QLD and WA.
Reconciliation Action Plan
Our Reflect level Reconciliation Action Plan has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. This RAP is our first formal step in showing our commitment to reconciliation. We are pleased to have commenced our journey with Reconciliation Australia though this plan and are committed to strengthening ties and building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Building on Country, Nurturing Knowledge
by Riki Salam
We are so proud of our bespoke artwork, Building on Country, Nurturing Knowledge, a visual story that depicts the work that CLV does - building on Country and making safe places for knowledge and language to be nurtured and exchanged. Where people come together to create, build, live, learn, celebrate and grow and connect to Country. Designed by artist Riki Salam in 2024, this artwork, reflects the journey of materials and minds as they navigate across this incredible land. Using tools to build, and knowledge that expands over time across land, sea and sky to grow.
