Rohan is a lawyer with over 35 years’ experience in major listed Australian companies in the areas of corporate and commercial law as well as in senior corporate roles responsible for governance, risk and compliance; human relations; procurement; industrial relations; superannuation; government, media and corporate relations.
Within his corporate career Rohan spent 10 years as General Counsel of an Australian listed oil and gas exploration, production and marketing company and over 20 years at Woolworths Ltd in senior executive roles that covered GM Group Corporate Services, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, and GM of Procurement and Compliance. Until recently Rohan has held non-executive Directorships with Retail Employees Superannuation Pty Limited (REST), Super Investment Management Pty Limited and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. Rohan is a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Queensland and maintains a non-executive director role with the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Since 1990 Rohan has held non-executive director roles with REST that have included REST Chair; Chair of People, Culture and Remuneration Committee; Chair of Strategy Committee and Member of the Investment Committee and of the Employer Services Committee and the Tax Planning Committee.
